Linda and her husband Jeff were really sweet and hospitable. The house is cosy and has an old world charm to it. Wooden staircase, carpets, beautiful paintings, blown glass artefacts, hand painted thoughtful notes, stained glass lamp shades, interesting conversations with other guests staying at the B&B and hosts, decent continental breakfast spread in a homely dining room setting made the stay at this warm and comfortable home a memorable one. Although I had planned to take a bus to the ferry terminal, Jeff was very kind and dropped me to the terminal. Was really touched by the gesture. Would love to stay there again.

It was our first night in a B & B with shared bathroom. Already weeks before our arrival Linda contacted us and asked about our arrival time. Our room was big enough and well equipped. There was even water and a small bowl of candies. The shared bathroom was cleaned regularly. On the departure day we even got some cake for the ride. Class!

"Perfect"
Superb 4 night stay at the Gaslight Inn. My hosts, Linda and Jeff went out of their way to make us welcome. The Inn is a gorgeous Arts and Crafts house, decorated with original art and blown glassware created by Linda. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was an amazing and varied spread, including Linda's freshly handmade muffins, cinnamon pastries or cheese scones. Coffee or a range of teas, fresh fruit juice, yoghurt, meat, cheese, bread, crispbreads, fruit... you have a great choice every day. We were even rescued when we were spotted walking the wrong way back to the Inn one day! Thank you! The whole stay was an absolute pleasure.

“Wonderful Place to stay in Victoria”
Once again TA comes up trumps. This inn is unique in many respects. Firstly the owners are so friendly and welcoming when you first arrive at their superb period home. The furnishings and decor are unlike any other you are likely to encounter in other B&B's and the bed in our room was very comfy. Linda provides a superb breakfast with plenty of fresh fruit and her own recipe fresh baked buns and scones etc in her beautiful dining room. If you are planning a trip to Victoria then do not hesitate in giving the Gaslight a visit.

"Charming B & B"
The location is about 30 minute walk into main downtown area. Linda is a charming hostess with the right amount of involvement in a B&B. Our room was well appointed with bathrobes, wineglasses and corkscrew. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh.

"Warm Hospitality"
Linda greeted us so warmly - we were 2 couples. The home Inn is simply beautiful, old world charm and Linda is a very creative lady. Our rooms were so comfortable and quiet and the breakfast really good, Her homemade scones delicious.
We would absolutely return and encourage other folks looking for a "home away from home" to come and stay at the Gaslight-Inn-Victoria

"Wonderful Inn with Charm & Character"
I thoroughly enjoyed this charming Inn. My upstairs room was clean and comfortable. There was lots of lovely art on the walls and some beautiful blown glass pieces displayed. In the morning there was a very nice continental breakfast. I was lucky enough the get homemade cinnamon buns (warm) the day I stayed and fresh fruit, good coffee and juice. There was nice music playing and the Inn keeper, Linda, was just as nice as the environment she creates for her guests.

"Home away from Home"
A truly home-coming feeling while staying in Linda's lovely Inn. My wife and I were in the basement one-bedroom apartment, with ample facilities and spacious for two persons. The garden outside the apartment was beautiful in which one could enjoy an early morning tea or a late afternoon relax. Linda is a very creative artist and there's a lot to learn from her about paintings and art work. A great stay in Gaslight Inn.

"Beautiful Old Home, Lovely Art"
The Gaslight-Inn is a beautiful home built in the 1930's with wood paneling and flooring, built in cupboards and more, located in a lovely area within a short walk or a quick bus ride from downtown Victoria.
Although we were only staying over for the weekend we stayed in their suite as the rate was less expense than some single rooms available in other places in the same area. The suite has a bedroom with a separate door, a full kitchen with fridge, oven, stove, microwave and toaster and a bathroom with a shower. Towels were plentiful, comfortable terrycloth robes were provided and there was a complete set of dishes and cookware, a small Brown Betty tea pot and a coffee machine. Tea bags were available on the counter. There may have been coffee provided as well but we never looked for it so don't know for sure.
It was quite lovely for a weekend stay as the fridge allowed us to buy some milk for our tea and leave it in the fridge (vs. the powered creamer provided) and would be perfect for anyone who is wishing to visit the area for a week or more as you would be able to reduce your overall costs by shopping for food and preparing at least some of your lunches and dinners.
The owner of this B&B is an artist and many of her 2D works in a variety of media are scattered throughout the home and suite, as are works by a few other artists. Her studio is out back and she offered to show us around but our short stay and planned activities precluded it. I did peek through the windows though and if you are an artist or art lover I would suggest taking her up on the offer.
The breakfast was lovely but it was of the "continental" type - fruit, cold cereal, muffins or scones, yogurt, tea, coffee and orange juice (with lovely homemade jams to go with the muffins and scones) - so if you prefer a breakfast with a hot main item and protein it may not be for you. Overall it was quite a lovely stay in a house with a lot of character and a lovely proprietor.

More than a B&B what Linda's older home restored to its former warm wood glory has to offer is a compete aesthetic experience enhanced with paintings and musical serenity.
Our hostess, half of an artistic couple, greeted us warmly on arrival setting the tone for a very pleasant stay. With two bedrooms, separate bathrooms, and off street parking in front of a house on a quiet residential street near the downtown area, the amenities offer value for money in its price range.
For aesthetic reasons and the personality of our hostess we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. For us the Butchard Gardens, the Lieutenant Governor's residence grounds and this B&B were the highlights of our Victoria visit. Bring a book or some newspapers so you can just enjoy sitting in the living room surrounded by beauty. We were never in a hurry to leave.

"Wonderful Place"
Staying at the Gaslight Inn gives that certain 'Victoria' feeling: a beautiful house filled with beautiful art and on top a most wonderful host: Linda. Couldn't think of a better place to stay in Victoria than this one!

“The Highlight of our Victoria Stay.”
The Gaslight Inn was everything we wanted in accommodation for our mini-break in Victoria. Central location, beautiful room and a general feeling of being 'at home'. One of the best sleeps we've had in years!

“Wonderful place to stay!”
We will be coming back to this beautiful place, with it's comfortable room, delicious breakfast, gorgeous decor and friendly hosts. The location is great. Just a couple of km to the Galloping Goose bike & walk trail, and the downtown area. We loved it.

Linda ist the perfect host and so we had a wonderful nice stay at the Gaslight Inn Victoria! The B&B was very comfy and included everything we need! And even more: because we had to leave early in the morning in order to catch the ferry, Linda even made an earlier breakfast (by the way the breakfast was more than delicious) only for the two of us.
As an added bonus she offered us to take us to the bus station by car! Thank you so much, Linda! We really appreciate it and highly recommend this place! P.S.: The Banana-Walnut-Muffins were amazing!

“Like Staying with a Friend”
My sister and I took a girls weekend to Victoria and thought it would be fun to stay at something other than a hotel. Linda made us feel very welcome. She has a lovely home and it really felt like visiting an Arty friend, rather than staying at an establishment. It was a little farther from the waterfront than we realized - required driving into town.
It was a fun stay and Linda provided us with lots of great recommendations of things to see and do. There are TVs in the rooms, with Netflix available, and the rooms are very quiet. We never saw or heard another guest!

“Linda was very welcoming and accommodating. The room was comfortable and spacious, and breakfast was always plentiful (fresh fruit, cereal, even delicious homemade cinnamon raisin buns on our last day! Her home is a close enough to downtown to walk (downhill), but too far to walk with luggage to the Harbour Air seaplane terminal, which we took to connect to our departing flight at Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
We would definitely consider staying at the Gaslight Inn Victoria the next time we visit Victoria. A lovely inn with beautiful artwork throughout the house. Thanks for everything, Linda!”

My husband and I just enjoyed a very pleasant night's stay at the Gaslight Inn. A beautifully maintained craftsman style home, this B&B features amazing artwork by the owner and her friends In all the rooms. We arrived rather late after a day in the Gulf islands, but the owner, Linda, was very kind and accommodating.
We enjoyed a delicious breakfast including warm cinnamon rolls the next morning before we departed, making us sad we couldn't stay longer! The beds were very comfortable and the price was extremely reasonable. The Inn sits few blocks away from the Inner Harbor of Victoria, but it was easily walkable.

Let me and my wife keep this as short as we can. Upon arrival at this beautiful Victoria heritage home we were happily greeted by our host Linda! Immediately knew the stay was going to be best experience! Linda's home was very warm and welcoming with some of the coolest art (Paintings, hand blown glass and folk art) we had ever experienced, it was very tastefull. The bed was comfy and decor was very nice vintage.
The morning breakfast was 10x better than any hotel includes in the price per night, Linda made us freshly baked cinnamon buns with walnuts hidden in the middle! Second morning was fresh baked scones and muffins! Linda's passion shows in the details and thats what we like. Thanks Linda.

The house reflected the owner- it was absolutely fantastic! Gorgeous renovated home from 1910. Linda was a very warm and welcoming host- we the most yummy breakfast each morning in the main dining room - home made muffins, scones, fresh juice, fruit... you name it she had it! We felt like royalty!
The B n B is a 10 minute walk to downtown Victoria so it was in a great location. My dad and I traveled all over BC for 3 weeks and this was by far our best experience of the trip.

Fantastic turn of the century charm, the house itself is a wonderful place just to visit... never mind to stay in! old school architecture, with all the mod-cons like wifi, netfix etc. Linda's home cookin' was great,as well as her charm! And the proximity to downtown and the main bus routes was a real bonus.I will definitely be back!

Gaslight-Inn-Victoria was the perfect setting for my bridal party "the night before the wedding". Linda was the most gracious hostess and my bridesmaids and I shared an amazing evening that is one of my cherished memories. I appreciated all the extras, like having my wedding dress delivered early and lovingly looked after. More than one of us has returned to stay since that special night.Linda went far beyond my expectations by creating the most scrumptious champagne breakfast to start the day off just right.
I recommend Gaslight-Inn-Victoria for your stay in Victoria whether it is two nights or longer, and for any occasion-you will be looking for an excuse to go back and stay again! It truly is a beautiful home and Linda is a beautiful person.

I have just checked into The Gaslight-Inn-Victoria and have just experienced my first meal! Well, I might not leave. The food is exceptional and my accommodation very comfortable. The location is also excellent and walking distance to many main attractions in beautiful Victoria.
The very best experience was meeting, Linda Molloy, my host. I enjoyed her wonderful hospitality as much as the fabulous food and would recommend Gaslight-Inn-Victoria to anyone for short or long term stays.
